Obtaining a Loan
Once you’ve examined your credit records and your financial matters consult with a lender so you can get an idea what you can afford before looking for a new home. Meeting with a lender and compare rates, costs and service. It may vary from each provider; but below is checklist of what you will need for the application.
- Address and residence(s) for the last 2 years
- Social Security Number
- Driver’s License
- Name and address of employer for the last 2 years
- Two recent paystubs
- Federal tax returns for the last 2 years
- W-2s for the last 2 years
- Last two months of statements for all checking and saving accounts
- Any loans owing, names, addresses, account numbers, and payment amounts
- Addresses and estimated value of other real estate property owned
- Divorce decree, if applicable
- Funds to pay upfront for the credit report and property appraisal
